Christmas in the Barn 2024

Christmas in the Barn is the largest fundraiser that supports two incredible nonprofits, Gateway Family Services of Illinois and Hooves of Hope, who are dedicated to making a positive impact in Central Illinois.
Gateway Family Services of Illinois provides mental health services to those across the lifespan who have been impacted by trauma. The services include Trauma-focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (or what we like to say Horses Helping Humans Heal), EMDR, sand, play, art, and nature-based therapies. Additionally, the agency provides medication management from the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to support individuals in their healing journey.
Hooves of Hope is a faith-based mentoring program that teaches kids 7-18 about basic horsemanship and important lessons about their faith. Kids participate in a 4-week program focusing on building a relationship with their horse and wrangler.
